American Horror Story: Coven - Episode 3.09 "Head"

This Week on American Horror Story Coven, Fiona makes an attempt to save by joining forces with Leveau, LaLaurie suffers from serious headache as Queenie puts her through some actions which LaLaurie considers "torture", and Hank makes his move in taking down the witches. Cordelia's attacker is revealed. Fiona looks to form an alliance with Marie Laveau. Nan learns a disturbing truth about Luke's past.

'Head' is the last episode of the first act of the Season, now taking its mid-season finale, you know to stop spreading holiday fear instead of holiday cheer. This episode may not have been the strongest of a good bunch, but it was certainly a taut affair that pushed the boundaries and tied the narrative so far into one big glorious bow. As said before, expect plenty of spoilers here, and this episode more than any is one you do not want spoiled, so look away from here on in.

Why 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' Isn't Actually a Bad Slasher Flick

Texas Chainsaw (or 3D for the lucky viewers) was the first Box Office hit in 2013, and although it bagged itself a decent amount of cash, critics absolutely slaughtered the flick and made a mockery of it; as did audiences. However, despite all the bad publicity the film received, I actually liked it, and all the hate was a little random for me. Here is a short list of all the things that made to me, Texas Chainsaw a good slasher sequel, and why it wasn't as bad as critics painted it to be.

'The Orphanage' Director Tackles the 'World War Z' Sequel

Juan Antonio Bayona, the director of the hit Del Toro tale The Orphanage has been confirmed to direct the sequel to the box office hit World War Z that seen Brad Pitt as top form taking down a zombie or two. Judging by the success of the film at the box office, bagging a whopping $202 Million worldwide, it was no shock that a sequel was in the mix, and with The Conjuring and Insidious doing well also, it was inevitable that these films were going to spawn some more.

Whether or not it will be as good as World War Z is a different story, but with a director like this behind the camera i'm sure it will be just as juicy as the first. Only time will tell so we may patiently wait.

American Horror Story: Coven - Episode 3.08 "The Sacred Taking"

American Horror Story returned after a couple of weeks of absents, and to be honest, it did go a miss. Not having my weekly dose of campy horror really took a tole on me, but with The Walking Dead being as intense as ever, it kind of took my mind off the lack of AHS. This week wasn't as strong as it could have been, but none-the-less was still a fun episode. With Fiona struggling to cope with the effects of her medication, the rest of the coven undertake a ritual known as the "sacred taking" to prepare for the next supreme. However Fiona must take her own life if the ritual is to be a success.

Can Chucky deliver some more decent thrills this time around by making possibly the best 7th installment to a franchise EVER? Well, we all know that wouldn't be hard...

The Walking Dead - Episode 4.08 'Too Far Gone'

This week on The Walking Dead brought us the mid-season finale that saw The Governor, with a parade of others welding weapons coming behind him looking to take the prison of Rick and co.. Things get a little nasty, and as the tank tears through the building, blood starts to spill and chaos begins.

Season 4 has come a long way from Season 3, and as much as I love The Walking Dead, no season so far has been able to grasp the emotional impact and intensity that Season 4 has, making for one of the best seasons yet. It is still early days, and the second half could be a complete dud, but I doubt that will happen. Let's be honest, it's The Walking Dead - all it has to do is kill of a character to get us gasping for more. Now, despite being the mid-season finale, it almost comes across as the "what should have been" for the finale of Season 3; it would have made more sense there but it works her just fine too. In fact, it works so well that I am practically hyperventilating at the fact that I have to wait until February to see what the group is up to. This is the sort of impact this show has on fans... it's horrible.

The Walking Dead - Episode 4.07 "Dead Weight"

He, Lilly and Megan are living in a rundown trailer and Martinez has made it clear that he's in charge, not the Governor. As time goes by, the Governor decides that the leadership of the group is dangerously weak. He's tries to leave bur realizes that taking control of his new surroundings is likely the better course of action. He realizes they will all have to relocate and he knows exactly where they should resettle.

Sequel to 'Friday The 13th' Release Date Set

The moment all fans have been waiting for, the release date for the new sequel currently in development is 2015. Now, that sounds ages away, but it will fly in, and judging by the past record of the series it will probably be trash just like the rest. No doubt that I will watch it though, and a little part of me is screaming with excitement.

The actual release date you ask? Well the film is due to release on Friday 13th of March 2015. Paramount seem pretty egar with the set-up, as should you.

Danny Boyle Confirming that '28 Months Later' is Not Happening...

At attendance at this years Foyle Film Festival, Danny Boyle and Frank Cottrell Boyce did a Q&A for fans of the pair, and after a few audience questions, one guy came out with "Are you planning on making 28 Months Later?"

Boyle's reply indicated that there will be no 20 Months Later any time soon, if ever, but there was talks about it not long ago. "Well, we were planning on doing 20 Months Later with an idea developed, but with The Walking Dead and World War Z changing the face of zombie horror, we felt there was no space for 20 Months Later in today's sub-genre."

I absolutely love 20 Days & Weeks Later, but I love The Walking Dead more, so to hear that the soul reason for not making the sequel was because how both The Walking Dead and World War Z changed the look of zombies is a little upsetting. He has a point though, 20 Days Later basically invented the running zombie, and now all that is irrelevant. A shame really, it deserves another film.

The Walking Dead - Episode 4.06 "Live Bait" Review

This week on The Walking Dead we seen the return of The Governor, and we get a look at the life he has lived on the long and lonely road to were his is now. We took a break from the gang back at the prison to get a look at the life beyond the prison gates, and although the impact isn't as edgy as initially made out to be, 'Live Bait' displays a strong character-driven narrative the molds something new out of the previously black inked Governor. Whether this is a good thing or not is up to you.

American Horror Story: Coven - Episode 3.06 "The Axeman Cometh" Review

This week on American Horror Story Coven a ghost from the past who has a kink for chopping girls with an axe is resurrected, Fiona is dealing with her illness and a snake within the coven is discovered. This week on AHS took for the less practical root, resulting in the development of another sub-plot that the series perhaps didn't need. The series seems to be taking that direction once again, which may be cause a few bumps along the way, and with Asylum suffering from the same unresolved problem, Coven could prove to iron out the unwanted creases previous seasons tripped over. Hopefully, Coven wont stumble like the previous season, and if the sub-plots are taken further, seeing a full explanation and tie-up would be great, with loose ends completely eliminated. Who knows, its Murphy, he may just end it in one big tangle.

The Walking Dead - Episode 4.05 "Internment" Review

This Week on The Walking Dead we got one hell of a treat. There was a severe zombie outbreak, a flue crisis, and Hershel's good deeds coming back to bite him in the ass. Prepare yourselves viewers, as you are in for the best episode of the Season, perhaps best episode of all time. Well, I wouldn't go that far but you know what I mean; take my word for it, it's all kinds of great.

American Horror Story: Coven - Episode 3.05 "Burn, Witch. Burn!" Review

This Week on American Horror Story we got a zombie attack, some family ties, a visit to the burn's victim unit, Spalding playing with dolls (again) and a self-explanatory event even used in the title to top it all of. All of this is a combination that made one fun episode to watch.

Sleepy Hollow - Episode 1.06 "The Sin Eater" Review

Sleepy Hollow returned this week, albeit not much of a return - The show proves to become tedious with progression, and it's over-complicated plot just makes the show at this stage look arrogant, and not smart. The show has come a long way, and unfortunately not for this best; Sleepy Hollow is visible proof of a show that can't handle the name, and sadly it only seems to be going downhill from here. Let's hope not, I still need to finish the season.

'All Cheerleaders Die' Gets a Poster and Trailer

All Cheerleaders Die, an upcoming undead sassy comedy that bends the sub-genre in new, fun ways. I will give this a watch of course (the sound of the title is so snappy and I love it), and the few critics that have seen it have like it, so hopefully it will be better than all that. Who knows, it could be a crock of crap, but regardless it looks campy as hell.

Check out the trailer above and the first poster below.

The Walking Dead - Episode 4.03 "Isolation" Review

Last week of The Walking Dead gave us yet another fantastic episode that teased us with the fact that someone within the prison was feeding the walkers, causing the fences to cave in, and with an ending like that, that involved Tyreese finding the crisped bodies of his fancy Karen and another civilian only left things hanging off the cliff. Thankfully Episode 3 'Isolation' dives right into that plot as doesn't back out, delivering a straight-faced action-based episode that blows the previous two out of the water. Isolation answered most of the pesky questions we wanted, plus adding some further character development that make some change for the better, and the worst.

The Walking Dead - Episode 4.02 "Infected" Review

Once again The Walking Dead is able to come back and prove that there is still a strong life in this undead show, and Season 4 Episode 2 'Infected' proves just that by injecting emotion subtle emotion back into the show that made the first season so infamous. Surpassing the first episode, Infected is living proof that the show is perfectly functioned to go back to what made the show so loved, and if you had doubts about this season due Season 3 (which I loved) then look no further  Season 4 has gone off with a bang, and at this rate it will only get better.

The first official trailer for Wolf Creek 2 has been released today, and being a huge fan of the original I could not contain my excitement when news broke out that the trailer was online, and to my pleasure, it trailer proved to be very strong and very intense, just like Wolf Creek should be! This trailer doesn't match the intensity or spark from 2005's trailer, but it's still strikes hope that this sequel may actually match the original.

I'm excited, are you? Here's the trailer below!

'The Walking Dead' Episode 4.01 "30 Days Without an Accident" Review

Yes folks that's right, The Walking Dead has returned finally to our screens to deliver us the weekly dose of great zombie action we have missed over the past few months, and all that gore-tastic zombie action is back on screens, and thankfully it is in fact better than ever. Premiering on AMC last night in the US and not hitting screens until Friday on Fox over here in the UK, I thought I would stick it on the big screen, pop open the Pringles and crack open a nice can of Coca-Cola to get the full effect of one of my favourite TV Shows of all time, The Walking Dead. The result was more than satisfying.

Starting off with the prison, showing us the gang, how far they have come, along with a various amount of faces without names; the prison has become a home, and to the return of Michonne, the gang go food-hunting, leaving Rick to his own devises in which he stumbles across an unwanted visitor. Things start to get (extremely) messy on the trip to the shopping mall, and as the group hunt for food they find themselves trapped by many walkers who found their way in.
